News in Brief

The bookstore will be located at the Miami Worldcenter.

The greater Downtown, which includes Brickell and Edgewater, has one of the largest populations of college educated residents and there is not one single bookstore, besides the shops at the museums — PAMM, for one, has a decent collection of art books, and FROST does have some science books.

Posman Books is coming to the Miami Worldcenter. Postman Books has stores in Atlanta, Boston, New York City, and Pittsburg. The Downtown Miami bookstore will be at the Paramount Building, Miami Worldcenter.

The official brochure says: “A family-owned business ran by lifelong book lovers. From our roots selling college textbooks in New York City to our present-day chain of indie bookstores designed with their local communities in mind, we’ve dedicated ourselves to the business of books for the better part of the last 50 years. We aim to make sure you have as much fun shopping in our stores as you do returning to the pages of your most earmarked paperback… Thoughtfully curated collections of books, gifts, stationery, toys, and more. You’re bound to leave with something you never knew you needed like a beach read you tear through before vacation even starts or the perfect gift.”

A great addition to Downtown’s cultural landscape.
