Another Growth Opportunity

I have slowly learned to see the “opportunity” hidden within the crisis. The relationship disaster, the lost job, the client that says “No thanks”. There is opportunity hidden in each of these situations.

When I lose something, I have room for something new. The trick is learning to manage my perception of the situation. I need to find a new way to see things.

I try to start this shift with an attitude of appreciation for all the good things in my life. I think of this as the “Parade of Good™”. The Parade is always there. However, sometimes I get all caught up in my problems, and forget to notice and enjoy it.

Next, I look for a feeling of eagerness and curiosity about what might happen today. I start to feel eager to get out of bed in the morning. I start feeling excitement about what might happen to me today.

Oral Roberts used to teach his congregation to focus on “Something GOOD is going to happen to me today!”

I know that my “growth opportunity” is an opportunity to strengthen my ability to connect to my Higher Power and allow Love to flow to me and through me. I just need to get out of the way.

Divine Love is flowing all the time. Today, I will focus on getting into the receptive mode. Today, I will allow the good into my life.
