A subterranean cosmic voyage
What happens if I enter this without any formal structure? Which is to say, the structure is not as important as listening to and following the rhythm of the natural cadence. If a theme emerges, great. If not, I’ll endure. Releasing from the grips of perfectionism is a practice.
I’m enrolled in Bayo Akomolafe’s “We Will Dance with Mountains: Into the Cracks” embarking on a journey with hundreds of others from across the globe. To share in this collective dance feels like such important medicine for this moment.
What happens when we don’t rush to repair the broken surface with a proscribed urgency that overwhelms our somas from remembering and imagining who we are and what is possible? What happens if we choose to dwell in the cracks as fugitives?
