Welcome to Bethan Goes Global, a place for me to share all of my travel tips, recommendations and adventures. It seems like a very strange time to be starting a travel blog, while we are in Quarantine and won’t actually be able to travel again for a while. But, a blog is something I have thought about doing for so many years and now I have the extra time, I thought, why not?

Just before setting off on my adventures around New Zealand, Australia and Fiji in March last year, I started a travel Instagram, so that I could share my adventures and photos with family and friends, without spamming my main Instagram account for people who probably didn’t care as much! Originally, I didn’t intend to continue posting after the trip had finished, however I kept finding photos I wanted to share and so I kept it going. Then I started sharing photos from previous trips I had been on, as well as trips I have taken since May last year. Travel is something I have been passionate about for a long time now, ever since I was little I wished I would visit Australia, so that happening last year was a dream come true!

So, maybe I should start by introducing myself a little more. I work full-time, doing a job I have dreamed of since I was 12 years old. I feel extremely lucky to have the opportunity working in a job I love and can’t wait to get back to work once everything has calmed down again. I am also studying a course to teach English as a foreign language, which I am really enjoying and hope to use on my future travels. Finally, as a huge Disney fan, I have visited Disneyland Paris 3 times and hope to visit all the other parks around the world at some point during my life.
